Portfolio Manager, Los Angeles
Nadia Funn is a portfolio manager of Ballmer Group’s philanthropic efforts in Los Angeles County, which are aimed at improving economic mobility for families and communities disproportionally impacted by poverty. Prior to joining Ballmer Group, Nadia worked to close the achievement gap for Los Angeles’ most vulnerable students through various positions at the Los Angeles Unified School District. Before that, she helped to create and strengthen financial opportunities for low-income working families and vulnerable populations at the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
Nadia was born and raised in unincorporated East Los Angeles. Her experiences as a first-generation Latina college student were foundational in her life’s work as an advocate for high quality public education. Nadia received a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Yale University and a Master of Public Management from the University of Maryland. Nadia currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons.
